High accuracy resolvers RES FC with high internal hollow shaft diameter

The high accuracy resolvers with high internal hollow shaft diameter ALXION RES FC have been especially designed for ALXION Direct Drive motors. Two versions are available: 2 and 12 poles.

Characteristics of the range

Based on the need for a maximal accuracy of the servomechanism, the resolvers developed by ALXION are adapted to the Motors for Direct Drive of its FC Range and ST Range and can be used advantageously in axis using STK motors. They represent a further necessary step towards the exploitation of the direct drive technology.

RES FC resolvers

The ALXION RESFC resolvers are position transducers used in motion control with permanent magnets brushless torque motors. They present the interest of an electro-mechanical technology homogeneous with the motor technology in the vicinity of which it is installed and can bear the same environment and temperature. Additionnally, they have a large through hollow shaft up to 90 mm which is much helpful for passing inside cables pipes, auxiliary shaft or processes needed by the load. The precision is high, up to +/-1 arcminute and they can be consequently used in most applications  of general automation in direct drive without gear as printing machines, glass manufacturing, handling machines, machines for electronic components, rubber and plastic extruders. The resolver is fed by a high frequency sine wave carrier supplied by the motion controller or electronic drive controlling the motor on the same axis and provides output sine waves modulated in sine and cosine of the rotary angle. Those waveforms are demodulated by the elecronic drive which supplies the measured position to the servo controller for closing the speed loop and/or the position loop.
