The extension of the applications of torque motors and permanent magnets alternators in outdoor type environments on the one hand and with relatively high speeds on the other hand while the traditional direct drive applications are at slow speed has required ALXION's share of various technological developments. Indeed, the standard rotors of ST torque motors and ST and STK torque motor kits have a cylindrical structure with glued magnets that is extremely reliable in sealed applications and especially in workshops with standard temperature and hygrometry environments. For high speed applications prone to vibrations due to the absence of dynamic balancing of the rotating assembly or incomplete balancing as well as for applications in the presence of humidity, ALXION has developed and tested a structure of magnets encapsulation bonded with a multi-layer peripheral bandage under tension which has proven its reliability on a very large number of applications for many years. It should be noted that the same technology of rotor encapsulation and peripheral sleeve also makes it possible to address the applications of motor cavities immersed in oil under equipressure for applications of underwater propulsion motors or water turbines at great depth.
